Plastic water bottles are made from polyethylene terephthalate. When heated, it is known to release a chemical called BPA, which some experts say can affect our hormones. Water when stored in plastic bottles also produces harmful substances like fluoride, arsenic and aluminium which can be poisonous. So, drinking water from plastic bottles would mean drinking slow poison that will slowly and steadily deteriorate your health and may trigger health risks. Plastic pollution can afflict land, waterways and oceans. Living organisms, particularly marine animals, can be harmed either by mechanical effects, such as entanglement in plastic objects or problems related to ingestion of plastic waste, or through exposure to chemicals in plastics which interfere with their physiology.
